Not everybody is born in a rich, respected and a famous royal family around the world, but those who are, get not just royalty as God’s gift, but also immortality and are also, such a royal family and their members are remembered in tales and books even ages after they are gone. KING OF DENMARK
King Harald of Denmark was from the royal family of the Gormssons and the son of Gorm the Old, the previous King of Denmark. Harald used to eat so many blueberries that his teeth were stained blue. The device “Bluetooth” is named after the King as he could unite the Scandinavian forces who fought among themselves, just as a bluetooth is used to unite the wireless devices.
KING OF SWEDEN
Once, a soldier named Jean Bernadotte, associated to the royal family of France showed kindness to a few soldiers of Sweden. After this, he became so popular in Sweden that the people decided to make him their king, despite that he had never even stepped in Sweden. Later, he became the King of Sweden.
KING OF FRANCE
King Louis XIV of France belonged to the family of Bourbons in France which was a famous royal family around the world. He was the longest monarch ever of a sovereign country in the European history. Once, an Italian chemist offered him some biological weapons, but the king refused to buy them. He still paid the chemist an annual salary so that he never sells those weapons to anyone else.
KING OF NORWAY
King Olav V of Norway belonged to the Glucksburg royal family. Despite being the King, he used to travel by public transport and was nicknamed ‘Folkekonge’ by the people which means “the people’s king”.
KING OF PONTUS
King Mithridates VI of Pontus was from the Greek and Persian royal family. He once tried to poison himself to attempt suicide. But he failed because he used to take many poisons in small doses throughout his life so the poison did not show any effect on him.

Mahatma Gandhi once went to meet the King of Britain in simple clothes. When a reporter asked him if he felt under-dressed in front of the royal family, Gandhi replied that the king wore enough clothes for both of them.

Maria Letizia Ramolino never belonged to a royal family, but is known as the ‘mother of monarchs’ as she gave birth to five of the most powerful monarchs and their stories of royal families are very famous and great. Her children were Napoleon who was the Emperor of France, Joseph who was the King of Spain, Jerome who was the King of Westphalia, Louis who was the King of Holland and daughter Caroline who was the Queen of Naples.
